Deutsch als Fremdsprache: Grundkurs I

This course offers a brush up and deepening of fundamentals of grammar and vocabulary and is the follow-up course of "Deutsch als Fremdsprache: EinsteigerInnen II" (if you have attended at least 8 sessions or 16 lessons). Various linguistic situations in daily life as well as at university/ in professional life are trained. After a placement test, learners with a solid level A1/A2 are also invited to register and participate.

Grammar is extended to: main/subordinate clauses, reflexive verbs, relative clauses, declension of adjectives, indirect questions, genitive (Haupt-/ Nebensätze, reflexive Verben, Relativsätze, Adjektivdeklination, indirekte Fragen, Genitiv).

Vocabulary includes: learning biographies, family, travelling and mobility, media, leisure activities (Lernbiografien, Familie, Reisen und Mobilität, Medien, Freizeitaktivitäten).

Requirements

Requirements for acquisition of credit points

In order to receive credit points, candidates will

  • not be absent more than twice,
  • take an active part in the course,
  • do homework,
  • pass the internal exam with at least a mark of 4.

You can get a total of 2 credit points.

Students are given a grade (1 - 6).

Certificate of attendance

In order to receive a certificate of attendance (available on request) for this course, you are not allowed to be absent more than maximum two times.

Placement test

This course requires either an obligatory computer placement test or completion of a preceding course. If you have not attended a preceding course, a computer placement test has to be taken prior to registration.
