Registration
Course registration is binding. Please note that for some courses you must take a placement test before you can register. Relevant information can be found in the course description. After you have registered, we will check whether your previous knowledge meets the course requirements; should this not be the case, we will contact you.
The invoice for the course will be sent approximately 2 – 3 weeks after the start of the course.
Delivery format of courses
By registering, you confirm that you have taken note of the currently applicable conditions of delivery and the mode of delivery of the course. Information on the mode of delivery can be found in the course announcement and on our homepage. During the Corona Crisis, any changes to the implementation conditions and mode are reserved as a result of the University Corona Task Force requirements. One possible consequence is a change in certificate requirements (3G <-> 2G <-> 2G+) as well as a switch from face-to-face to digital instruction.
Conditions for deregistration
Participants who deregister up to five working days before the start of the course, will be charged a processing fee of CHF 50.-. Participants who deregister from the fourth working day before the course begins must pay the entire course fee. Under no circumstances can such course fees be refunded.
Course fees will not be refunded in case of
- the change of the course delivery mode (Digital <-> Presence),
- the change of the certificate requirement (3G <-> 2G <-> 2G+),
- of non-attendance due to quarantine, isolation, illness, military service, etc.
- of changes resulting from the requirements of the Corona Task Force of the University of Basel.
Please notify the Language Center office via e-mail (info-sprachenzentrum@unibas.ch), if you wish to deregister from a course.
Certificate of attendance
If the attendance requirements are fulfilled (see course announcement), a certificate of attendance can be requested.
