Formal and informal conversation is central to university and public life and the world of work. This training, which is the first in a three-level conversation module, is designed for students and staff who would like to improve this vital skill in a supportive atmosphere. Participants receive focused practice to become more confident and fluent in expressing themselves on academic, professional and personal topics. As each group is unique, the course will be tailored to the needs and wishes of the participants.
Topics may include:
- Job-related skills (e.g. meetings and telephoning)
- Media and news
- Culture and leisure
- Open discussions
This intermediate training can be taken on its own or alongside other language courses. It prepares participants to proceed to English: Conversation Training – Upper Intermediate.
