Cambridge C2 Proficiency: Preparation Workshop

The Cambridge C2 Proficiency certificate is the highest level certificate in the Cambridge assessment suite. It confirms that you can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker. It is widely used to prove your level of proficiency for academic mobility and for working in environments where English is a main language of communication.

  • Session 1: Overview of the overall exam; writing discursive essays and compelling reviews.

  • Session 2: Understanding the three parts of the Speaking test and what examiners assess, training each part, and using detailed suggestions to improve your monological and interactive oral competences.

  • Session 3: Overview of the Use of English paper, understanding which aspects of grammar and vocabulary are tested, and how this happens.

  • Session 4: Familiarising yourself with the features of effective articles, letters, and reports for the Writing paper.

  • Session 5: Developing effective techniques to respond to the range of tasks in the Reading comprehension paper.

  • Session 6: Understanding what is tested in the four parts of the Listening comprehension paper, spotting the traps, and developing your skills to follow demanding discussions.

Feedback from your peers and the instructor throughout the workshop support your progress.
