English C1.1

Do you want to develop your competence to communicate confidently in everyday, university and professional settings about a broad scope of topics on an advanced level? Or do you need to ensure that you have the requisite knowledge to join the Cambridge C1 Advanced: Preparation Workshop or to independently prepare for the Cambridge C1 Advanced certificate?

In this course you train using sophisticated grammar and vocabulary accurately in speaking, listening, reading and writing activities on topical issues.

Some of the topics you will cover include:

• The tenses, so that you can craft coherent fictional and non-fictional narratives about emerging trends
• Modal verbs, so that you can speculate and provide evidence about personal and public health
• Nouns and pronouns, so that you can accurately name and analyze entities and behaviors
• Adjectives and adverbs, so that you can evaluate and review artefacts and activities
• Prepositions and prepositional phrases, so that you can establish connections in time and space
• The language of building consensus, so that you can engage in discussions about conflict and collaboration
• Grammar specific to the Cambridge C1 exam.

The course will cover selected items from units 1 to 7 in MyGrammarLab Advanced C1/C2.
