The writing for publication programme is offered in collaboration with the Graduate School of Social Sciences (G3S). All modules are free of charge for G3S members. Participants from other PhD programmes and Faculties are also welcome. Non-G3S participants must pay the course fees listed below.
The programme consists of two modules that build on each other:
- Writers guides and supports participants in the writing process
- Submitters assists them in polishing a manuscript for submission.
WRITERS
This module provides a structured process within which participants actually write and thereby develop their writing competence. Ideally, participants work on an existing draft to turn it into a submittable manuscript; alternatively they can turn a concept and/or data into a first draft.
Writing in this hands-on module takes place in two two-day sessions. Participants are introduced to various strategies that support the writing process. In addition, they receive feedback from peers and detailed individual oral and written comments from the lecturer.
